This 7.5% alloy gives the silver durability and hardness. Without this alloy, the silver would bend and be too soft to wear.

The law in UK requires that sterling silver that's is over 7.78 grams in weight be hallmarked at one of the independent assay offices. If the sterling silver has not been hallmarked then you are not allowed to sell the product.

Over the last 10 years the popularity of sterling silver jewellery has rocketed. Sterling silver jewellery is great for both daytime wear to casual eveningwear. When it is winter, sterling silver jewellery works well with dark colours. However during summer, sterling silver jewellery works well with light, pastel colours.
